ASTON, PENNSYLVANIA, USA – Custom engineered thermoplastics compounder TP Composites, Inc. is adding 2 new compounding extrusion lines at its facility in Aston PA. Dr. Cliff Watkins, Sales, Marketing & Technology Director said, “these 2 new lines, which we are targeting for start-up in May and August will help us get our lead-times reduced as well as complement our manufacturing capability in medical-grade and highly filled products.” According to Watkins TP Composites Inc. completed another record-breaking year in 2010, with sales revenue surpassing the former 2008 record by over 12%. Watkins said that the company added a compounding line in April 2010 to add capacity in its small lot manufacturing cell, which he went on to say was sold out by July.

ASTON, PENNSYLVANIA, USA – Custom engineered thermoplastics compounder TP Composites, Inc. announced today that it will relocate its headquarters to a nearby location. The customer service, sales & marketing and executive functions will move to the new building, which is in the same industrial park where the company has been located since its founding in 1994.

ASTON, PENNSYLVANIA, USA – Custom engineered thermoplastics compounder TP Composites, Inc. announced that it has been successfully audited and re-certified by Global Registrars Inc. to the ISO 9001-2008 standard for Quality Management Systems and has also been accredited for another 3 year term to the ISO 17025-2005 standard for testing of plastic materials by Laboratory Accreditation Bureau. The testing laboratory has been ISO 17025 accredited since 1997. CEO Ron Taylor commented that having both ISO approvals has proven to be extremely beneficial in the markets where we participate. He went on to say, that in applications with especially close tolerances, being ISO 17025-2005 accredited has been important to OEM’s looking for assurance on long term quality.

ASTON, PENNSYLVANIA, USA – Custom engineered thermoplastics compounder TP Composites, Inc. announced recently that it has completed an expansion of its injection molding laboratory. The expansion and upgrade included the installation of a third injection press, construction of four new test specimen molds, installation of new high temperature mold heating equipment, new temperature controllers to a compression press and a new HVAC system for improved temperature and humidity control in the molding area. John Tillman, Manager, Quality Assurance indicated that the new 50 ton Engel Victory injection press has been outfitted with the latest technology to enhance the company's molding capability for high temperature resins like PPSU and PEEK / TPI blends. "The new press and new mold heating system have made a significant difference in the data we now collect", said Tillman.
