TP Composites (TPC) is pleased to announce the promotion of two key executives: Mr. Farokh Kheradi to Vice President, Operations from Director of Manufacturing, and Dr. Johnson C. ‘Cliff’ Watkins to Vice President, Business Development from Director, Sales Marketing & Technology. In addition, Cliff and Farokh have been designated as co-managing partners of the company. These appointments are effective immediately.
“During the past 12 months, Cliff and Farokh have managed our business seamlessly, achieving greater than 20% top line growth, while at the same time, installing 2 extruders, relocating our QC laboratory, moving into a second building and hiring 8 new employees (at a total investment of $ 1.3 million). I am very proud to have them as business partners”, said President and CEO Ron Taylor. “Elevating these 2 gentlemen to Vice President is an acknowledgment of their leadership in executing our business plan and their capability to lead our company through the next ‘step change’ in growth that we’re experiencing now.”
Also, TPC welcomes Robert (“Bob”) C. Findlen as Director, Sales & Marketing. Bob will assume leadership responsibility for all aspects of the company’s sales and marketing efforts, effective immediately. The creation of this new position is consistent with TPC’s growth strategy and will help focus its efforts in OEM customer application development.
“The depth and breadth of OEM marketing experience in engineering plastics that Bob brings to our business supports our new direction in customer OEM application development,” stated Ron. “These efforts at the OEM level will enable us to achieve our sales growth objectives.”
Farokh joined the company in 1996 from LNP Engineering Plastics and Cliff joined in 1999 from PPG Industries, Inc. Ron, Farokh, and Cliff are the principal stockholders of TP Composites, Inc., and comprise the board of directors.
Bob has over 25 years of sales and marketing experience in engineering plastics, having begun his career with GE Plastics in field market development, then moving to LNP Engineering Plastics where he rose to Vice President of Sales & Marketing. In 2002 he returned to GE Plastics with the purchase of LNP from Kawasaki Steel, as Product Marketing Director, LNP. In 2006, Bob joined Metabolix, Inc. to lead the marketing effort of a brand new bioplastic polymer called MIREL® PHA.
